Who We Are

The Macheke Sustainability Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on sustainability initiatives in the village community of Macheke in Zimbabwe.  MSP inquires about development challenges in Macheke and then seeks for solutions that are culturally relevant and won’t lead to the loss of rich customs that enhance environmental diversity.  Read More >>

Accomplishments

MSP has supported the development of a computer lab with 40 computers at Monte Cassino Girls High School. This school had the #1 "highest exam scores" in the nation in 2017! More computer for the other schools in Macheke will continue to advance their progress towards excellence!
400 young students at Macheke Primary School benefit from the School Lunch Program that MSP supports! We reduce hunger to promote sustainable education! Can we feed more children in Macheke? With your help - absolutely!
We have known for some time that water security is a hazard in Macheke, so we funded the drilling of a borehole at the local primary school. For now, they will be using a fuel generator to run the water system, but our goal is to partner with them to source a basic solar renewable power solution in 2020.
MSP's environmental stewardship initiative has planted over 1,000 native trees in Macheke to date. With your help, we can plant 500 more native plant trees in 2020 to further rebuild the native wildlife and reduce our carbon footprint!
Over 2,000 students now have access to sporting equipment for girls and boys soccer & volleyball in 2018 - thank you for your remarkable support!
